Adam Mads Heindorf’s jewelry-making classes range from fun hobby sessions to coaching that can help you launch a career. We’ve grouped them all under the name “Læremester,” since they’re led by the goldsmith’s expert guidance.
Our apprenticeship program is perfect both for those who want to get a taste of the goldsmith’s craft and for those who have decided to pursue it professionally. But you don’t have to decide right away. You can take the courses one at a time, at your own pace—and you might just end up starting your own business.
The jewelry-making courses cover a wide range of topics—from basic craftsmanship to business plans for your own company. The possibilities are endless. There’s a course for you, too.

BECOME A JEWELER FOR A DAY
In Adam Mads Heindorf’s individual courses, you can learn a wide variety of techniques in the field of goldsmithing. At the same time, you can use the skills you’ve learned to create your very own piece of jewelry.
The course is open to everyone, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced craftsman. You’ll have your own workspace in our workshop. What you’ll make depends on your preferences and the time you have available. The more time you spend—or the more often you attend—the more you’ll learn.
Here, Adam Mads Heindorf offers a day of one-on-one instruction, during which you can work on all types of projects related to the art of goldsmithing.
On that day, you'll be the only student in Adam Mads Heindorf's workshop.
WHAT CAN I LEARN?
For example, you can learn how to design, solder, saw, polish, or create special surface textures on metals. You can also be introduced to techniques such as stone setting, wax modeling, casting, engraving, and much more. If you want to start your own business, you can also learn about production, cost estimation, purchasing, marketing, and similar topics.
You’re always welcome to bring along sketches and ideas for inspiration. That way, the goldsmith can advise you on what’s realistic for you to achieve in terms of time and materials, and perhaps suggest alternative solutions to ensure everything comes together.
BRING A FRIEND
You also have the option of bringing up to two additional participants with you.
This could be a friend, a family member, a coworker, or anyone else you’d like to spend the day with in the workshop.

Make your big day even more personal—as a special treat, we invite you to visit our workshop and help create your own wedding rings. That way, you’ll literally be forged together...

THE DAY
Classes in Copenhagen are held on weekdays or Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Class dates are set in consultation with you.

LANGUAGE
Classes are offered in both Danish and English.
MATERIALS
You are responsible for the cost of materials based on your usage.
For example, if you choose to work with new silver, the metal cost for a piece of jewelry will start at around 500 DKK.
We have a large inventory of gemstones—including diamonds, rubies, sapphires, emeralds, pearls, and much more—that you can purchase from.
If you’d like to bring your own gold, silver, or gemstones, that’s also an option.
We’ll review the materials on the day of your visit and create a plan for the best way to proceed.

For security reasons, we need to see a photo ID (driver’s license or passport) and a health insurance card showing your address in order to grant you access to the workshop.

TRANEKAER CENTER
, LANGELAND
Adam Mads Heindorf also runs the Tranekaer Center on Langeland, where we regularly hold various jewelry-making classes. These include one-day courses, weekend courses, longer retreats, and workshops as part of the “ kreativ ” festival, among others. Here at teacher , both Adam Mads and his sister Mille Heindorf are involved. Mille is a trained goldsmith and social educator—she also serves as the day-to-day manager of the Tranekaer Center and has a deep passion for people and teaching.
