Buddha means “The Awakened One.” Someone who has awakened from the slumber of ignorance and sees things as they truly are. Someone who knows everything about the past, present, and future—directly and simultaneously.
Your personal Buddha
The Buddha figure can be made with different hand positions. Just the way you want it.
There are countless hand gestures—or mudras—that one can practice in Buddhism. Each has different energies and meanings associated with it.
Perhaps you already have a specific hand position in mind that you’d like to include in the piece—and if not, we can help you find the right one for you in our workshop.
Just like the Buddha figure, it can be made with different gemstones—placed in different locations. It all depends on which energy vibrations you want to work with.

Mudras
Mudras are a specific type of hand gesture used in Buddhist practice as a powerful tool to induce a particular state of mind. The most common depictions of Buddha feature a mudra in which the hands are folded in the lap, symbolizing meditation. An open palm pointing downward signifies generosity. A palm turned upward and outward signifies teaching or reassurance.
Gemstones & Crystals
All gemstones and crystals emit vibrations and energies. They can be used for healing, amplification, support, and much more. I recommend Jette Holm’s book *The Crystal Key* as a helpful and accessible resource for understanding the effects of gemstones.
In my work as a healer, I also work with chakra colors and use them to support the healing process. The colors of the stones are also linked to the chakras with which they resonate. I have created a collection of chakra jewelry that explores this aspect in depth.
The choice of stones that will work best for your personal Buddha is entirely up to you. We can use your favorite stone—or we can choose one based on your personal journey. It’s entirely up to you.
